Tiffany’s Story
Tiffany’s experience shows how trafficking can begin through grooming, promises of affection and opportunity, and then escalate into coercion, violence and commercial sexual exploitation.
Her story is shared to help communities understand that trafficking is not an abstract issue. Survivors are real people, and awareness can help adults and young people recognize warning signs, respond appropriately and prevent another child from being exploited.
Tiffany’s story needs to be told—responsibly, respectfully and with the purpose of prevention.

A School and Community Framework for Human Trafficking Awareness
ISAFE is developing a human trafficking awareness framework that combines instructional programming, media and community engagement to help teens better understand trafficking risks for themselves and others.
Schools can play an important role in awareness and identification because trafficking can intersect with student relationships, travel, social media, school activities and community life. Staff training, clear protocols and age-appropriate instruction can strengthen the ability to recognize concerns and respond through appropriate channels.
The initiative also gives students a constructive role in prevention through peer discussion, critical thinking, storytelling and community outreach. With support from schools and community stakeholders, student voices can help make trafficking more visible without placing the burden of intervention on students themselves.

Media That Helps Communities See, Understand and Respond
ISAFE is producing documentary and short-form media designed for schools, advocacy organizations, law enforcement, community groups, faith organizations and other stakeholders working to prevent child sex trafficking.
Media can create an accessible entry point for age-appropriate discussion of trafficking, modern slavery, human rights, supply and demand, criminal justice, legislation, media literacy and the cultural forces that can increase vulnerability.
Our objective is to make awareness resources scalable and usable across communities while encouraging survivor-informed, student-centered learning and responsible local action.
